Phone App

Consultainer installs on your phone as an app, straight from the browser. There's no app store. It opens on a phone view built for one hand:

• Today: your hours today and this week, the timer, and Log time. Start the timer on a recent project with one tap. Under each entry from the last week, the camera button adds a photo, screenshot or PDF as evidence.
• Inbox: screenshots and PDFs you've shared to the app (see below).
• Owed (owners and admins): what clients owe, overdue first.
• Full app: everything else, which also works on a phone.

It uses your normal sign-in and your own server. Nothing is stored on the phone except screenshots waiting in the inbox.

Install it

Your instance has to be served over HTTPS; see Put it behind a domain with HTTPS.

Android (Chrome):

1. Open your Consultainer address and sign in.
2. Open the menu and tap Phone view, or go to /m.
3. Tap Install on the banner, or use Chrome's menu and tap Install app.

Long-press the icon for the Log time and Timer shortcuts.

iPhone (Safari): open /m, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. The share sheet route below is Android only.

Send a screenshot as evidence

Once the app is installed on Android, Consultainer appears in the share sheet:

1. In any app, take or open a screenshot, tap Share and pick Consultainer.
2. The app opens on Inbox with the files.
3. Tap Log new time with them to log an entry with the files attached. Or tap an entry from the last two weeks to add them to it.

Files stay on the phone until you pick where they go. Whether a client can see evidence works the same as on the Time page; see Evidence.
